What are Nicotine Salt E-liquids? Nicotine Salt also know as Nic Salt, are made with natural Nicotine found within tobacco leaves. The Nicotine is mixed with a natural acid to lower its Ph value making it smoother to vape. This give vapers a less harsh throat hit at higher nicotine strengths, usually 10mg or 20mg. N...

Nicotine Salts, also known as Nic Salt E-Liquids work and look the same as normal freebase nicotine E-Liquids. Nic Salts are made by adding a natural acid; benzoic or citric acid to the nicotine. Adding these acids give the nicotine a lower pH value, which means a much smoother and less harsh throat hit when vaped.
If you are a heavy smoker that smokes 1 pack a day or more, we strongly recommend going the highest strength available which is 20mg in the UK/EU
The maximum nicotine strength that can be sold in the UK/EU on any Nic Salts or other E-liquid is 20mg. However some Nicotine Salts are made with a mixture of 20mg base Nicotine and and Benzoate creating a higher Nicotine Salt strength. Without going overly technical, the Nicotine Salt compound is made up from two different molecules; Nicotine and Benzoate and if the base Nicotine is 20mg and the Benzoate content is 16mg you technically have a Nicotine Salt Strength of 36mg.
The benefit of Nic Salts compared to traditional "freebase" Nicotine E-liquids is that Nic Salts provides a much smoother throat hit at higher nicotine strengths. Nicotine Salts also enters the bloodstream quicker, giving vapers a quicker "nicotine fix" much more similar to when smoking. This makes Nic Salts an excellent choice for anyone looking to make the switch from smoking to vaping. Vapers choosing Nicotine Salts usually have a higher success rate with the transition from smoking to vaping.
Unfortunately not, the TPD regulations in the UK/EU puts a limit on any E-liquid containing Nicotine to 10ml.
Nicotine Salt E-Liquids are compatible with most, basic low powered starter kits and pod kits. We do not recommend using Sub-Ohm (high power) vape device with Nicotine Salts as they are much higher in nicotine strengths than traditional freebase E-liquids. As the Nic Salts are also generally thinner in viscosity to be compatible with basic starter kits they will usually cause leaking if used with Sub-Ohm Kits and tanks.
Nicotine Salts are made by adding benzoic or citric acids to the Nicotine to reduce its Ph value, as these acids are naturally occurring in our bodies, it is not likely to be any more or less safe than traditional freebase nicotine e-liquids.
Nicotine Salt E-liquids also known as Nic Salts does not taste salty at all. The name is understandably somewhat confusing but it derives from the way the Nicotine is extracted from the Tobacco leaf as it comes in a salt-like composition.
