What are Nic Salts?

Nicotine Salt vape juices are formulated with a special type of nicotine designed to help smokers quit cigarettes.

Derived from the tobacco leaf, salt nicotine offers a faster "nic fix" plus a much smoother throat hit at higher strengths compared to freebase nicotine E-Liquids.

With salt nic, you'll get a higher dose of nicotine without that harsh feeling on your throat. Enjoy fewer puffs to satisfy your cravings without compromising on flavour.

Fast Nicotine Absorbtion

Salt nic is more readily absorbed into the bloodstream, which means faster craving satisfaction.

Smooth Throat Hit

Thanks to their special formulation, nicotine salts offer an ultra-smooth throat hit even at higher strengths.

5mg - 20mg Nicotine Strengths

Salt nicotine juices are available in strengths ranging from 5mg to 20mg, making them perfect for smokers.

Compatible with Starter Kits

These e-juices are designed for compatibility with vape starter kits, including most pod kits & vape pens.

How are Nic Salts made?

Salt nicotine is formulated by taking the nicotine derived from the tobacco leaf in its purest form—traditional freebase nicotine—and adding an acid to it. This lowers the pH on the nicotine.

The added acid—usually benzoic acid or salicylic acid—helps to neutralise the alkalinity, which makes for a much smoother feeling on the throat when you inhale.

Plus, the lower pH helps the nicotine to enter the body faster, thus delivering a much quicker craving satisfaction.

How is Salt Nicotine different from Freebase?

Traditional vape juices, like 50/50 E-Liquids, contain what's called "freebase" nicotine, which comes directly from the tobacco leaf. However, this type of nicotine has low absorption into the body, which means it'll take more puffs for you to feel satisfied.

Freebase nicotine also tends to feel much harsher on your throat at higher nicotine strengths, so if you're a heavy smoker of a pack or more per day making the switch and you need a higher nicotine strength, you may find the throat hit of a freebase liquid too harsh.

Despite all of this, freebase liquids offer a longer craving satisfaction, meaning that it takes longer for the effects of the nicotine to wear off. While nic salts will satisfy you quickly, freebase nicotine takes a while longer to "kick in" but its effects may last longer.

What type of vape kit should I use with Salt Nic?

Because of their VG/PG ratio, salt nic juices are quite thin, so you'll need to make sure you're using the right type of vape kit. You should look for a kit that's low-powered and uses high-resistance coils or pods.

Thankfully, nic salts are perfect for use in starter vape kits, as well as smaller, more portable and beginner-friendly pod vapes and vape pens

Are Nicotine Salts better?

If you're a current smoker, dual user, or recent ex-smoker, then salt nicotine is probably the best option for you. This is because of the swift nicotine delivery and smoother throat hit. The benefits of nic salts for smokers are huge!

With salt nicotine, you can enjoy a much faster craving satisfaction and higher nicotine strengths with fewer puffs and without that sharp, harsh feeling on the throat.

But if you're a more advanced vaper or someone who isn't so dependent on nicotine anymore, the choice is really up to you.

You might find that you get just as much out of freebase liquids as you would with salt nic. Plus, with freebase, you have the option of lowering your nicotine strength all the way down to 3mg. You can even opt to switch to sub-ohm vaping, which will allow you to vape nicotine-free, if you want!

What Nicotine Salt strength should I get?

If you're a heavy smoker (of a pack a day or more), we strongly recommend going with the highest strength, which is 20mg.

Moderate smokers should consider a strength of either 20mg or 10mg, and light smokers can likely get away with using 10mg or 5mg nic salts.

Please note that these are merely suggestions. Everyone has different tolerances, and you may find that you need a higher strength as a light smoker, or vice versa.

It's important to ensure that you're getting enough nicotine to satisfy your cravings so you don't go back to cigarettes. This is why we recommend higher nicotine strengths to start with, as they allow you more wiggle room when it comes time to wean yourself off of nicotine altogether.

Remember, if you've never been a smoker, you shouldn't be vaping at all.
