Nicotine Shots

Nicotine Shots—also known as Nic Shots—are designed to be mixed into Shortfill E-Liquids to give them a nicotine boost. Nicotine Shots are available in various PG/VG ratios in several different nicotine strengths, with 18mg being the most common. They are supplied in 10ml bottles, making them the perfect size to fill a shortfill bottle to the top.

Mixing one 18mg nicotine shot into a 50ml shortfill will create 60ml of 3mg nicotine strength E-Liquid once mixed. Adding two 18mg nic shots to a 100ml shortfill will create 120ml of 3mg E-Liquid.

After adding your nic shots into your shortfill, be sure to shake the bottle vigorously for at least 2 minutes to ensure that the nicotine has been distributed evenly throughout.

Nicotine Shots are not designed to be vaped on their own.

Nicotine shots—or nic shots—are a form of liquid nicotine suspended in either Propylene Glycol (PG), Vegetable Glycerin (VG), or a mixture of the two. Nic shots are designed to be mixed into Shortfill E-Liquids, which have no nicotine.

Nic shots are available in a variety of PG/VG ratios and several different strengths, with 18mg being the most common.

The nicotine shots are supplied in 10ml bottles, making them perfect for mixing into shortfills, which usually have either 10ml or 20ml of extra space left in the bottle for this very reason.

Nic shots are not designed to be vaped on their own—they're meant to be mixed into shortfills. They are usually unflavoured and would have a very unpleasant taste and throat hit if vaped directly.

To add a nic shot to a shortfill bottle, you'll need to unscrew the cap and remove the nib from the nic shot bottle. You should do the same with the shortfill bottle—you'll need to remove the outer cap and the inner lid. If you're having trouble, we stock a Shortfill Bottle Opener Tool on our website.

Once both bottles are open, pour the nic shot into the shortfill bottle. When finished, close the shortfill bottle by reattaching the inner lid (with the nozzle), ensuring it's fitted correctly.

Next cover the nozzle on the shortfill bottle with your finger and shake vigorously for at least 2 minutes to ensure the nicotine is evenly distributed in the shortfill bottle.

Usually, we recommend buying one 18mg nic shot for a 50ml shortfill, or two 18mg nic shots for a 100ml shortfill. Your resulting E-Liquid will have a 3mg nicotine strength if you choose this strength.

If you're looking for slightly less nicotine, you could opt instead for a 9mg nic shot. One 9mg nic shot in a 50ml shortfill (or two 9mg nic shots in a 100ml shortfill) will create 1.5mg nicotine strength E-Liquid.

This is more of a personal preference for you as the vaper.

Generally speaking, though, if your E-Liquid has a 70% VG ratio already, using a nic shot with the same ratio will ensure that the end result is still 70% VG. This is something for sub-ohm vapers to bear in mind, as certain coils and wattages require specific PG/VG ratios.

There are 50% VG & 50% PG ratio nic shots available, formulated with nicotine salts, which provide a smooth throat hit and a quicker nicotine delivery. These are great for recent ex-smokers who need a quicker nicotine fix, but bear in mind that this will likely raise the PG content of your shortfill, which may result in leaking or burning of your coil if you don't adjust your vape kit's settings accordingly.

For those who have a PG allergy, intolerance, or sensitivity, we stock several 100% VG nic shots to use in your 100% VG E-Liquids. So, you can still enjoy nicotine without adding any PG to your brew.
