It’s fair to say that disposable vape bars are having a moment. Below, we’ll take a look at 12 incredible flavours that you can enjoy during the summer and beyond.
What are Disposable Vape Bars?
Disposable vape bars, also known as puff bars, are throwaway vaping devices. These vapes come fully charged and preloaded with nicotine, which means users can vape them right out of the box.
Their simplicity and lack of setup make them ideal for anyone trying to give up smoking; however, they are also popular with more experienced vapers due to their great taste and the inclusion of nic salts.
Geek Bar Disposable Vapes by GeekVape
GeekVape’s Geek Bar Lite Disposable Pods are a smaller, lighter version of the regular Geek Bar. A gripped bar and smooth edges make this really nice in hand. However, the reduction in size does mean they hold slightly less liquid than the original Geek Bar. As a result, vapers should also expect fewer puffs: about 400 vs 575.
But on to the flavours. The first one I tried was Green Apple. A good green apple like a Granny Smith is known for its slightly tart and acidic taste. This e-liquid is bright and sweet on the inhale, with a touch of sour on the exhale.
What surprised me about this juice was that it contains a faint hint of liquorice. Maybe it’s just me, but there is some crossover between the sour bitterness of a green apple and anise (which is often used in liquorice flavoured sweets).
Anyway, this is a very satisfying flavour. It’s dry, crisp and not too loud.
Recommended For: Vapers who like a more subtle fruit flavour.
The next Geek Bar Lite Flavour I tried was Mixed Fruit. Although considering the ingredients, it could just as easily be called Mixed Berry. The inhale contains a mix of blueberry, blackberry and raspberry. On the exhale is cool ice.
The three fruits blend into a pleasant berry flavour. Like with the Green Apple, this is an understated flavour and a good candidate for an everyday e-liquid.
Something worth noting is that the draw from Geek Bar devices is excellent. Despite the small air inlet at the bottom of the bar, you can get a very smooth and full vape. Overall, full marks for the design.
Recommended For: Anyone who likes a berry e-liquid with a bit of depth.
Banana Ice comes in the original Geek Bar disposable pen. The greater e-liquid capacity means each bar is good for about 575 puffs.
Full disclosure, of all the disposable vape bars I tried, this one is my favourite. The device is lovely to hold. The draw is a smooth mouth to lung vape, but my favourite thing about it was the flavour.
It’s banana on the inhale and a cool ice menthol on the exhale. However, I’d say the taste of the e-liquid is more of a synthetic banana flavour rather than a banana fruit flavour. But this is not a negative for me.
It’s a gorgeous, creamy taste that is slightly sweet like a cake. The ice gives it a pleasing balance. I really can’t recommend this flavour enough.
Recommended for: Anyone who likes a sweet, smooth and creamy vape.
The final Geek Vape Bar is Peach Ice. If I had to guess, I’d say the peach is modelled on the white peach, or maybe even something like a Saturn peach. So, that’s peach on the inhale, and a menthol exhale. It’s a sweet and slightly floral flavour. Again, very pleasant and morish.
The device itself is an absolute pleasure to use. It feels great, and the draw is smooth. I’m not sure there is a better vape bar on the market; they’re a really robust and premium device.
Recommended For: Vapers who like just a little sweetness but not quite a sugary dessert flavour.
Disposable Vape Bars by eDevice
Next up are eDevice’s disposable vape bars. These vape bars are a little heavier in hand than the Geek Vape bars, but they have a good, solid design. This smooth, circular device and also come with a contoured duckbill style mouthpiece.
The first flavour I tried was Ice Cola. This vape tastes precisely like a cola bottle sweet on the inhale, with a touch of ice on the exhale. It’s a beautiful e-liquid, but maybe not an everyday choice for anyone without the vaping equivalent of a sweet tooth.
Recommended For: It’s pretty simple. If you love cola bottle sweets, this flavour is for you.
The next eDevice disposable vape I tried was Lush Ice. In this case, the Lush stands for red watermelon, which is present on the inhale. The exhale, as you’d expect, is a cool menthol. There is arguably nothing more refreshing than a refrigerated red watermelon on a summer day. And eDevice has undoubtedly done a great job of replicating that particular sensation. It sweet and juicy, but best of all is that they’re no seeds.
One thing to note about the eDevice disposable vape bars is that they are a little noisy on the draw. The bars come with a generous five air holes and a contoured mouthpiece. I’m not sure exactly which part of the design causes the noise, but this might be an issue for anyone trying to grab a sneaky, low-key vape.
Recommended For: Vapers who enjoy one of life’s simplest pleasures, a refrigerated red watermelon on a hot summers day.
ULTD Puff Bar Disposable Vape Pens
The ULTD disposable vape bars are a collaboration with disposable hardware company Beco. The device itself is well-built, small and very pocket friendly. My only issue with it the design is that the flat rectangular bars sharp corners don’t feel as good in hand as some of its competitor’s disposable vape bars. It’s honestly not a huge problem, and it won’t bother most vapers.
The first flavour I tried was Citrus Seven. It’s a blend of lemon and lime on the inhale, with some menthol on the exhale. As far as I can find out, Citrus-7 was a limited edition version of 7-Up released in Canada in 2004. So if this is what inspired this flavour, it’s a pretty obscure reference. But I’m a big fan of this flavour, and I could easily vape this all day.
Recommended For: Afecinados of obscure, limited edition Canadian sodas, or anyone who likes a sharp, refreshing vape.
The next disposable vape bar is Slushberry. This one is Blue Raspberry on the inhale and Ice Slushy on the exhale. First things first, let’s talk about blue raspberry. It’s not a natural fruit and was invented in the 70s in America with the BLUE ICEE ice pops.
In many ways, blue raspberry is a little closer to blueberry. Sort of. It’s a confusing flavour. It’s slightly sweet and slightly tart. Anyway, one way to look at this e-liquid is that it’s a combination of two ice pops. But the taste has a bit more depth than that.
One last thing to note about the ULTD and Beco collaboration is that the disposable vape bars have a capacity of 1.3ml. This fact means fewer puffs than some of the other disposable vapes on this list.
Recommended For: Vapers who like berry flavours with a bit of depth and not too much sweetness.
Disposable Vape Devices by Pod Salt GO
Pod Salt Go are the disposable vape bars made by the renowned nicotine salts manufacturer Pod Salt. The vape bar is light to hold, but the design is reassuringly solid. Like the eDevice, the bar is circular and has a duckbilled mouthpiece.
Unfortunately, similar to the eDevice, the vape bar is a little noisy. There is just a slight whistle on the draw. To be clear, this isn’t the biggest problem in the world; plenty of vapes generate a bit of crackle or airiness on the inhale. But the GeekBar device has proved that a silent vape is achievable.
The Blue Ice flavour is blueberries on the inhale and menthol on the exhale. It’s a touch of sweetness with an acidic hint. There is nothing fussy about this flavour, and it’s enjoyable if you like a sweet fruit vape.
Recommended For: Vapes who like a sweet fruit flavour.
Pod Salt’s Lychee Ice is one of the more interesting disposable vape bars that I’ve tried. Of course, the ice means that there is menthol on the inhale. I like flavours that just concentrate on one fixed taste and try to get it right. And I think Pod Salt have captured the taste really well.
Lychee is a very unique flavour. It’s aromatic, sweet but also has a touch of rose water. And Pod Salt has nailed it. The ice on the exhale isn’t too overpowering, and instead, I believe there is a faint hint of grape or watermelon on the exhale.
This disposable vape is a delicious flavour. Perhaps a little sweet for an everyday vape, but still a really interesting and accurate e-liquid.
Recommended For: If you like a complex, aromatic vape. Or you’re a fan of lychees.
Nasty Fix Disposable Vape Pens
Nasty Fix is the name of well-known e-liquid manufacturer Nasty Juice’s disposable vape bars. In terms of look and feel, they are similar to the Beco Bar. Lightweight and thin, they feel pretty good in the hand. Once more, the only points I’d dock from them is because I prefer the feel of a round or smooth vape bar rather than the boxy edge.
Nasty Juice is a fantastic e-liquid manufacturer. They’ve got several flavours that I frequently use, like Trap Queen and Asap Grape.
The first Nasty Fix disposable vape bar I tried was Slow Blow. I’ve got a 50ml shortfill bottle of this juice at home, so it’s fair to say that I’m already a convert. Slow Blow is a pineapple lemonade flavour, with a subtle mint of the exhale. This flavour slightly reminds me of the Old Jamaica Pineapple Soda that you find beside the root beer in most supermarkets.
It’s sweet, and a little zesty, and a whole lot of fun.
Recommended For: Anyone who likes a sweet, tropical vape.
The next one of Nasty Juice’s disposable vape bars that I tried was Blackcurrent Cotton Candy. As the name suggests, that’s blackcurrant on the inhale and cotton candy on the exhale.
The blackcurrant is tart and subtle, but the sugary notes of cotton candy balance that out. Some of the candyfloss e-liquids I’ve tried have been way too sweet. This is more likely due to manufacturers striving for accuracy, but these e-liquids can become almost sickly during extended vaping. Thankfully, this Blackcurrent Cotton Candy isn’t that candied.
Overall, this is a fun flavour.
Recommended For: Vapers who like a mix of sweet and sharp flavour in a subtle, balanced juice.
Because disposable vape bars contain e-liquid and a battery, they can’t be thrown into a regular bin. However, some councils do accept batteries as part of their service. If your borough doesn’t take them, you can drop the disposables off in a battery bin in a supermarket.
Disposable vape bars have come a long way in the last few years. Nicotine salts can take a lot of the credit because they don’t require high-powered devices to heat the e-liquid. This has opened up the possibility of smaller lightweight devices that can produce an incredibly satisfying vape.
There’s a great range of different disposable vape bar flavours being made by some of the best manufacturers in the game.
Thanks to their low cost, vape bars are a low-risk option for anyone trying to stop cigarettes, try new flavours, or have a disposable pen for a night out at the pub.
So why wait? Give a few a try.
