What is the Elf Bar 600 V2?
In response to the growing debates in UK Parliament about banning disposable vapes—or perhaps simply the banning of plastic in disposable vapes—Elf Bar has released a new range of devices made with a metallic body for easier disassembly and recycling.
Constructed with an aluminium shell, these disposable vapes are sleeker and more eco-friendly, as they can be more easily taken apart for recycling and disposal. The company calls this a “modular design.” The aim is to ensure fewer spent batteries are sent to landfill, where they are unable to biodegrade and may cause fires.
In addition to these vapes being more sustainable for the planet, they also have a new and improved Quaq mesh coil for denser, more flavourful vapour. The mesh coil has a greater surface area than Elf Bar’s standard wire coil, which means it can heat more E-Liquid faster and deliver more vapour per puff.
Elf Bar 600 V2 Device Review
At first glance, the only major difference between the original Elf Bar 600 and the 600 V2 is the material of the device. The new 600 V2 model is only a few millimetres taller than the original, and the shape is eerily similar.
Taste-wise, the 600 V2 offers a slightly more intense flavour and better vapour production, likely due to the introduction of the mesh coil.
I really enjoyed the Elf bar 600 V2. It has a nice, familiar feel and a solid design. And because this disposable vape is designed to be unobtrusive, there’s not much more to say!
What are the differences between the Elf Bar 600 and Elf Bar 600 V2?
The main differences between the Elf Bar 600 and the Elf Bar V2 are the body materials, the coils, and the airflow.
The original 600 model was made with a plastic body, while the new V2 device is made of an aluminium alloy. This reduces plastic waste and ensures smoother, more efficient disposal.
And with regard to the coil, the original 600 device had a standard wire coil, which is spiral-shaped and is used in many devices today. The new V2 model utilises Elf bar’s new Quaq mesh coil, which has a larger surface area and can therefore heat up much quicker and can produce more vapour overall.
This leads to more flavour and vapour per puff, plus a more even experience from start to finish as less E-Liquid is wasted in the process.
The 600 V2 model has a slightly different airflow hole on the mouthpiece, with a more centred hole rather than the characteristic long, narrow opening on the original Elf Bar 600 vape.
In addition, the airflow valve on the 600 V2 is slightly different. Whereas on the original 600 model, the airflow valve was a tiny, rectangular hole on the bottom-side of the device, the 600 V2 features a fan-shaped bottom airflow.
As far as puff counts are concerned, I found that both models lasted me roughly the same amount of time.
And while the original Elf Bar 600 had an array of flavours in 10mg and 0mg nicotine strengths, the 600 V” only offers a 20mg (2%) strength thus far. We’re hoping to see more strengths available in the near future.

Is the Elf Bar 600 V2 Eco-Friendly?
The new Elf Bar 600 V2 devices feature a “modular” design, meaning they can be more easily disassembled so that the battery and metal components can be recycled and reused.
Did you know that the batteries in a disposable vape can technically be recharged, but the UK’s legislation surrounding disposable vape tank sizes does not allow for this? In fact, there are reports of soldiers in Ukraine using disposable vape batteries to power drones.
These batteries are salvageable, but because the UK limits disposable vape tank sizes to 2ml, there is no reason to make disposable vapes rechargeable. In other parts of the world, like the US, disposable vapes have more than 5 times this 2ml tank capacity, and their disposables are rechargeable as a result.
This means that a perfectly reusable battery is discarded every time you finish a traditional disposable vape.
So, the Elf Bar 600 V2 is certainly more eco-friendly in that the batteries can be removed and recycled for reuse.
They also contain much less plastic than the classic Elf Bar 600, and this is a result of proposed legislation which would see plastic banned from use in UK disposable vapes. Elf Bar is trying to get ahead of this legislation by releasing the new Elf Bar V2 with its upgraded aluminium body.

If you want stronger flavours and a more authentic taste, the Elf Bar V2 with its QUAQ coil is your best bet. Although no disposable vape is good for the planet’s ecosystem, the V2 is the slightly greener choice, which is increasingly important in today’s world. But there’s nothing wrong with not switching if all of your favourite flavours are still with the original Elf Bar.
