Uwell Viscore 8000 Prefilled Vape Review
Uwell’s new prefilled pod vape—the Uwell Viscore 8000—can offer up to 8,000 puffs thanks to its nifty pod and refill container system, all with easy-breezy assembly and almost zero maintenance. Let’s take a closer look at the device!
The Uwell Viscore 8000 is a new and delicious big puff vape designed to provide up to 8,000 puffs backed by a large 1900mAh rechargeable battery. Best of all, there are now prefilled pods available—so when your juice runs dry, you can replace your pod and refill container completely.
With the upcoming ban on disposable vapes, which will see all devices which are non-rechargeable and/or non-refillable completely banned from sale in the UK, the Uwell Viscore 8000 is set to survive the new legislation thanks to its replaceable pods and rechargeable battery.
We were sent samples of the Viscore 8000 prior to its release, and once it hit our shelves, we decided to revisit the device for an in-depth review. I had my choice of flavours and was a big fan of the device when I first used it.
So, let’s dive in!
Uwell Viscore 8000 Review
The Uwell Viscore 8000 is a cross between a big puff disposable vape and a prefilled pod kit. Backed by a rechargeable 1900mAh battery and packed with a cumulative 12ml of E-Liquid in its replaceable pod and refill container system, the Uwell Viscore 8000 is a simple but powerful little kit.
The kit has absolutely no interface, save for the battery percentage display on the bottom front of the device. It’s slim (given how much E-Liquid it holds) and slightly rounded , with both the Uwell and the model logos on the front. On the bottom of the vape, you’ll find the USB Type-C charging port and the airflow hole.
I’m a big fan of the design of this vape. It feels and looks really nice, and despite its power, it doesn’t feel bulky or heavy.
Assembly is super easy: just unbox all the parts from the packaging, remove any stickers and silicone plugs, attach the pod to the refill container, and slot it into the vape. You can also vape the included 2ml prefilled pod with the included silicone mouthpiece—without attaching the refill container—but why bother?
Once you’ve attached the refill container to the pod and inserted it into the device, you’re good for several days (or, until the vape needs a recharge).
The battery is really hefty—it’s larger than the battery on both my Xlim Pro 2 and Vaporesso XROS Pro, and that’s really evident as you use the device. I can use the vape casually for about 3 days before needing to recharge it.
As a side note, there’s no charging cable included with the device, but you can use any USB-C cable you have lying around.
As far as the draw is concerned, I’d say this has a tight RDTL airflow, very similar to the Elf Bar Dual 10K. It’s looser than classic disposables like the Elf Bar 600 or the Lost Mary BM600, but tighter than what most refillable vape kits with adjustable airflow allow.
Something not super evident about the vape is that it offers 2 power modes—Eco and Super mode. This isn’t well-advertised. You can swap between the two modes by tapping the USB type-C port 3 times. I only noticed this feature after I spotted the instructions on the sticker on the bottom of the vape.
Now, this time around, the flavour I tried wasn’t great—so I’ll also be including a review of the flavour I tried the first time around as well, which was stellar.
Pineapple Ice Flavour
Now, when I first tried this flavour, I thought it was an error in manufacturing and reached out to Uwell themselves, who said there were no other reports of issues with this batch or flavour. However, it just doesn’t taste like a pineapple vape to me. It tastes like watermelon.
I asked 2 people to try it without telling them the flavour, and both said it tasted like watermelon. I then asked 2 more people in the office to try a fresh one, and they both said it tasted like a mild, sweet pineapple flavour. So, the consensus was 50/50.
I’ve had a lot of pineapple vapes, and this just isn’t one. So either I’m crazy (not unlikely), there was an error in manufacturing (like, say, if watermelon pods were mistakenly paired with pineapple refill containers) or this is just a bad flavour. It doesn’t taste like pineapple.
It’s not unpleasant, but it’s not the flavour I wanted.
Cherry Cola Flavour
Now, this one was amazing—and the colour of the device itself is absolutely lovely, too! I’m not generally a fan of either cherry or cola flavours, but this was among the samples sent by Uwell, so I decided to try it on a complete whim. And it was stellar!
Zingy, sweet, fizzy, and cherry-licious, this flavour ticked all the boxes you’d hope for in a cherry cola vape. It wasn’t cloying or overly sweet, and it strikes a perfect balance of flavours.
To be honest, I used this entire vape before realising there was a “Super” power mode, and even on Eco mode, this flavour was really strong and satisfying. I wish I would’ve known about Super mode before I finished the entire pod!
Like I said, neither of these flavour notes really speaks to me, but I was really pleasantly surprised by this flavour. I can’t recommend it enough, even if you’re not usually a cherry cola vape fan!

Is the Uwell Viscore 8000 really 8,000 puffs?
No, the Uwell Viscore doesn’t really hold 8,000 puffs—but no vape truly holds the number of puffs it advertises. You can read more about this in our detailed article, Are “Puff Counts” Accurate?
Essentially, whenever a vape company advertises a specific puff count for a disposable vape like this one, you should halve that number to get the true puff count. That means that a 600 puff vape will realistically provide about 300 puffs, while an 8,000 puff vape like the Uwell Viscore 8000 is likely to provide around 4,000 puffs (even less if you use the Super mode).
This is due to the way puff counts are measured by the manufacturers, who utilise machines which take very short (roughly half a second) MTL puffs to calculate the maximum puff count, then round that number up to the nearest hundred to get their advertised figure.
In reality, a majority of vapers take puffs lasting at least a second—sometimes longer. This means that your puffs are probably double the length of the machines’ puffs, which means you’ll get about half as much use out of any given vape. And if your puffs are longer than a second, you’ll get even fewer puffs.
This is why we list all puff counts on our websites as “up to” or “approximately” the advertised number of puffs, because these figures are merely estimates, not guarantees.
In reality, none of the advertised puff counts on any disposable vapes are accurate, and retailers (like us) have to bear the brunt of customers’ complaints.
I will say that the Uwell Viscore 8000 lasts longer than expected. I only anticipated getting a few days of use out of it, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by its longevity.
How is the Uwell Viscore 8000 legal?
The Uwell Viscore 8000 utilises workarounds to the current TPD rules in order to pass inspection and be approved for sale.
It’s also important to note that despite the upcoming disposable vape ban, the Uwell Viscore 8000 is set to stay legal thanks to its replaceable pods and rechargeable battery. Under the new rules, vapes must be both rechargeable and refillable (or have replaceable pods) to be considered non-disposable.
Onto the tricky regulatory rules. TPD regulations state:
- A vape device’s tank or pod can hold a maximum of 2ml of E-Liquid
- Refill containers of nicotine E-Liquid can have a maximum volume of 10ml
Now, the Uwell Viscore 8000 houses a prefilled 2ml pod, which you can vape alone using the supplied silicone mouthpiece. You can also simply skip the mouthpiece and attach the included 10ml refill container to the pod, which effectively provides a total of 12ml of E-Liquid without breaking any TPD rules.
This is how the Uwell Viscore 8000 skirts around the current legislation and remains legal.
Summary
While I was disappointed with the Pineapple Ice vape, I really really loved the original Cherry Cola flavour I tried, and I genuinely love the design and feel of the Uwell Viscore 8000. I’d recommend any of the flavours (except Pineapple Ice).
Of course, the vape doesn’t really deliver 8,000 puffs—but no vape can deliver the number of puffs it advertises in reality.
I really enjoyed using the Uwell Viscore 8000, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cost-effective prefilled pod vape!
