JAKD E-Liquids Review: Top 6 Best Flavours
JAKD E-Liquids are a UK-made range of double-concentrated E-Liquids taken from Jack Rabbit’s best-selling ranges. Let’s dive into the best flavours and see what all the fuss is about!
Jack Rabbit is a bona fide legend among E-Liquid brands. They’ve been in the game since 2015, starting as a simple E-Liquid brand with a few flavour options until eventually branching out to become one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of E-Liquid in the whole of the UK.
They’re known for creating numerous best-selling sub-brands, from Cyber Rabbit to Peaked to Okay! Orange. And in response to the recent boom in disposable-flavoured E-Liquids, they debuted a new brand called JAKD.
The JAKD E-Liquids range promises jacked-up flavours made with double concentrate for that ultra-dense taste that vapers have come to crave. Each flavour in the range is taken from one of Jack Rabbit’s many sub-brands, with the flavour concentrates doubled.
They’re available in 10ml nic salts and 100ml shortfills, but here’s the kicker: all of the vape juices are made with 50/50 VG to PG for use in low-powered MTL kits. This means that their shortfills, unlike most others on the market, are not for sub-ohm use. JAKD shortfills enable MTL vapers to buy E-Liquids in bulk and add their own nicotine, which is great for those looking to save some cash.
I was so thrilled when I received one of each flavour in the JAKD nicotine salt range to try—in my preferred nicotine strength, too! The nic salts are available in 5mg, 10mg (my go-to), and 20mg, and the shortfills are of course nicotine-free.
Now, without further preamble, let’s get into my top 6 favourite flavours in the JAKD E-Liquids range!
Top 6 Best JAKD Flavours
It was so hard to pick favourites here, but these 6 flavours really stood out to me. I’ve included additional metrics for sweetness, ice, and flavour concentration as well. Note that these numbers aren’t a score, per se—a higher number for sweetness, for example, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s better!
1. Fugly But Sweet Blue Raspberry Cream Pie Nic Salt E-Liquid by JAKD
£3.99 | 3 for £10
I really, really loved this flavour. It’s a gorgeous blend of dessert and fruit E-Liquid flavours, which offers a really lovely balance of decadence and lightness.
The Blue Raspberry Cream Pie flavour delivers soft, velvety dessert undertones with a poignant fruit flavour at the forefront, like a fresh, creamy pie heaping with a juicy berry confection.
The flavour has the absolute perfect level of sweetness without ever verging on cloying. I’m not usually fond of ice-free nic salts for more than a few puffs, but I keep gravitating back to this one. I can definitely see myself buying it again in the future.
2. Japanta Pineapple Melon Nic Salt E-Liquid by JAKD
£3.99 | 3 for £10
This flavour is right up my alley: fruity with a dash of ice. And while pineapple vapes are usually too warm and rich for my liking, this one has the perfect balance of cool, crisp melon to balance out the flavour.
The more you vape it, the more the sweetness builds, making this one for the disposable fans for sure. It has a sugary, almost confectionery quality to it as well, which makes the taste somewhat artificial—though in this case, it’s definitely not to the flavour’s detriment.
There’s a gentle icy underlayer bringing the whole flavour together, creating an overall impression of a cool, juicy fruit medley that’s perfect for warm days. This is a really excellent fruit vape.
3. Clotted Dreams Strawberry Cream Nic Salt E-Liquid by JAKD
£3.99 | 3 for £10
I was so excited to try this one after having read the flavour description, and I was not disappointed. It was a touch sharp on the throat at first, but the more I vaped it, the more I wanted. This is a really tasty dessert-centric flavour for fans of the sweet and decadent.
The creamy layer beneath the strawberry is smooth, soft, velvety, and rich, which would likely be too much on its own—but the generous helping of strawberry jam on top is an absolute delight. The more puffs you take, the sweeter it tastes, and the blend of creamy-sweet strawberry jam lingers in the aftertaste.
This is for sure one of the best dessert flavours I’ve had in a long time. It’s perfectly balanced for richness and sweetness, delivering exactly what it promises.
4. Unreal 3 Pineapple & Lemon Lime Nic Salt E-Liquid by JAKD
£3.99 | 3 for £10
As I’ve mentioned, pineapple E-Liquid flavours are usually too warm and rich for my liking, but this one doesn’t taste as artificial as I’d expected—perhaps because it’s so well-balanced. The richness of the pineapple is beautifully offset by the citrusy notes, all wrapped up with a gentle icy breeze.
The first notes to hit your tongue on the inhale are the sweet, zingy lemon and lime, followed by a rolling wave of juicy, fresh pineapple flavour. The pineapple is definitely the star of the show, with the lemon and lime as back-up dancers.
I’ve knocked off half a star because this flavour might be too sweet for some. Otherwise, I think this is a really stellar fruity flavour for fans of tropical fruit E-Liquids.
5. Jack Rabbit Custard Doughnut Nic Salt E-Liquid by JAKD
£3.99 | 3 for £10
I wasn’t sure what I’d make of this flavour, but I was really pleasantly surprised. Once again, JAKD has done an incredible job with the dessert flavours in their line-up. This classic Jack Rabbit juice is amplified to excellence, and I know dessert lovers will go nuts for it.
The smooth, creamy custard flavour is blended beautifully with a fresh, almost savoury pastry base, sweetened perfectly without being overbearing. It’s exquisitely concentrated for today’s greedy vaper’s palate without sacrificing the classic Jack Rabbit flavour that vapers know and love.
Historically, most of the dessert nic salts I’ve tried have had an unpleasant sharpness to them, but this one is a joy to vape. I just wish the pod wasn’t so fragrant sitting on my desk—it’s making me crave pie.
6. Peaked Cherry Ice Nic Salt E-Liquid by JAKD
£3.99 | 3 for £10
This is another one I was excited to try, and I was quite surprised by the cherry flavouring used in the blend. The cherries are nice and rich, like a dark, tart, real cherry rather than those candied Maraschino cherries atop an ice cream sundae. And while I’d have liked a bit more cherry flavouring overall, I can appreciate how authentic the flavouring tastes.
The level of sweetness is perfect for vapers who hate the sickly-sweet juices abundant on the market nowadays. The moderate sweetness level elevates the flavour without being overpowering, which I really appreciated. The ice is also really nicely balanced; it’s strong but nowhere near the level you see in most disposable vapes nowadays.
If this had just a bit more cherry flavouring, I could see myself coming back for more time and time again. Still, I highly recommend this flavour.
Overall Impressions
All of these E-Liquids were vaped in the OXVA Xlim Pro using a 0.6Ω mesh coil pod with the power set to 22W for maximum flavour. Each flavour had its own pod.
Because these are UK-made E-Liquids, you won’t get that same crisp, artificial, ultra-icy flavour that you find in disposable vapes—but JAKD still delivers on its promises. The juices are certainly ultra-concentrated. I wouldn’t really compare these E-Liquid flavours to disposables, since they’re UK-made and obviously of a higher quality than the salts used in a disposable vape.
I will say that some of the bottles were difficult to open and harder to squeeze, but that’s not an issue exclusive to JAKD E-Liquids. I’ve had this issue with a number of different bottles from various E-Liquid companies.
I’ll also say that a few of the JAKD flavours I tried didn’t necessarily benefit from being double-concentrated. The flavour got a bit soapy and too strong in a few cases, which was a bit off-putting. This was only the case for a couple of the nic salts, and of course, I can’t speak for the shortfills.
Conclusion: JAKD Up Flavour!
I really loved the flavours in the JAKD range—and I’d definitely buy several of them again in the future. Those who’ve read my reviews know that I’m not huge on dessert E-Liquid flavours (especially in nic salts), but these are where JAKD really shines. I also tend to prefer ice with my nic salts, but these E-Liquids definitely benefited from having a low (or non-existent) ice level.
To sum it all up, my top 3 favourites are:
- Fugly But Sweet Blue Raspberry Cream Pie
- Japanta Pineapple Melon
- Clotted Dreams Strawberry Cream
And I never would’ve expected to rank two dessert flavours in my top 3!
If you love Jack Rabbit, dessert flavours, or concentrated vape flavours, I can’t recommend the JAKD E-Liquid range enough—and if you’re an MTL vaper looking to buy E-Liquids in bulk, you should definitely consider the 100ml shortfill variants to save some money on your next E-Liquid purchase.
The only downside to the shortfills is that you can only achieve a maximum nicotine strength of 3.3mg (if you add 2 x 20mg nic salt shots to the bottle), but low-nicotine vapers will love this solution.
