Lost Mary Tappo Review: The Best Disposable Vape Alternative in 2024?
Introducing the Lost Mary Tappo, the new, ultra sleek closed pod kit from the makers of the renowned Lost Mary disposable vapes. High standard vaping made easy.
Lost Mary knows what’s up when it comes to disposables, and their BM600 range is ever present among beginner level vapers. The Lost Mary Tappo is a smart upgrade from this range, featuring a QUAQ mesh coil that should add abundantly to the flavour depth.
A device with simple inhale activation and a 750mAh battery that should last longer than your average disposable, this is a kit perfect for beginners. It’s fuss free, and it’s as easy to use as it is easy on the eye.
It’s also a market steal. Lets get into the technicalities.

Lost Mary Tappo Overview
An ideal travel companion for those vapers seeking a switch from disposables, but want to remain cost efficient.
As a fan of the Lost Mary BM600 disposable range, I was happy to try a piece of kit that resonated with me in the familiarity of its boxy device. With no coil changes or refills needed with this hand friendly pod kit, this is vape ideal for beginners, which comes with a standard 2 ml of 20mg (2%) prefilled pod.
Coming in a variety of Tappo pod flavours, and a further multitude of Elfa Pro Pods which are also compatible with this device, it retains the sweetly charged taste Lost Mary is renowned for. As a fan of the harmonic balance that an ice flavour brings to the table, it’s no secret that I enjoyed the Peach Ice pod the most.
A muted yet fruity hint of peach delicately balanced with chilly ice notes, I was definitely impressed with the flavour depth, which is likely due to their mesh coil technology. There were other aspects of the device, however, which may be a banana skin for some.
Design & Appearance
I really liked the design of the Lost Mary Tappo. It’s familiar in its cut to the BM600 range, yet there is no flimsiness to it. You can feel it in your pocket, it’s a real piece of kit. Not to say that it weighs heavily. It is, of course, as light as a feather, but its flask-like design not only aligns users to its similarly shaped previous range but improves upon its style.
I also liked the metallic finish of the product. It can be a bit of a fingerprint magnet, but the two layered, earthy blue and green tones of my device ensured it always looked somewhat pristine and shiny.
The font is definitely somewhat larger than it is on the disposable BM600 range, so you will be repping Lost Mary loudly and proudly (although there’s just no getting away from it’s simply iconic blocky-gun design).
Other than a black stripe that connects the USB port to the pod, and a cool little lightning bolt that signifies its battery life, there’s not much else to say about the Tappo’s design. It’s classic Lost Mary.
It’s also available in green-pink, dark bronze, and silver stainless steel. It’s pocket friendly, and perfect for the vaper on the move.

Battery Life & Performance
Coming with a 750mAh internal battery, the Lost Mary Tappo pod kit should last the typical 600 puffs before needing a recharge, so will probably last one or two days for most vapers. It requires a USB Type-C cable, which isn’t included in the package.
By the way, if you have ever wondered exactly why most disposable vapes don’t last their quoted 600 puffs, we have an honest, tell-all guide as to the accuracy of puff counts.
The LED indicator light (found below the little lightning bolt) will glow either green, blue, or red depending on the battery life. The glow is activated when you inhale on the mouthpiece, so you know when it’s in need of a charge. Another great thing – the battery only takes an hour to charge.
One of the great benefits of the device is that there are no buttons required; the Lost Mary Tappo works on inhale activation, so simply inhale the mouthpiece and enjoy the cloudy vapours that flow. Contrary to its name, no tapping is needed.

Lost Mary Tappo Prefilled Pods
Herein lies the potential banana skin I mentioned earlier. Many disposable vapers or beginner vapers will be used to either simply inhaling straight away or inputting a pod to a device and inhaling.
This is not the case here, the pod’s base must be manually pushed upwards before being inserted inside the device.
This manual movement ensures that the coil doesn’t enter the E-Liquid prior to vaping experience. Now, for those with good attention to detail, you will notice when unpackaging a prefilled pod that there are two notes that do explain this (shown).
However, I know better than most that the excitement of opening a new product heavily outweighs the vigilance of reading its instructions.
Furthermore, you must refer to the small instruction manual to see this when opening the Lost Mary Tappo device kit package.
Many vapers may not read these instructions, and assume (like some closed system vape kits) that the pod can be inserted into the device as it is. It is imperative that this does not happen, otherwise the cotton surrounding the coil will be burnt.
This is a real problem when you take into account that the Lost Mary Tappo is really marketed for disposable users who are looking to switch to a more cost effective device.
Some of these vapers will expect the Tappo to work exactly as the Lost Mary disposables do, so some clearer information in the packaging would be great.
The Tappo pods are prefilled with a 2% strength nic-salt E-Liquid, and their QUAQ mesh coil resonates a deeper, more flavourful vapour, as they are known to be better in efficiency when vaporizing E-Liquid. In fact, I found the flavour to be rich, but in a subtle kind of way. Not too sweet or strong, but perfectly balanced, as all good things should be.

Vaping the Lost Mary Tappo
The Lost Mary Tappo is designed for MTL (Mouth to Lung) vaping, so its throat hit is a strong one due its replication of the experience of smoking a cigarette.
As I personally find citrus flavours quite zesty as they are, I’ve got to say that the throat hit when vaping the Lemon and Lime pod was a particularly sharp experience.
But each to their own. For those who love Lost Mary’s citrus flavours, they will be in for a fragrant classic; vaping this pod felt potent and deep. It is this depth that accompanies every flavour I have tried using the Tappo.
I can’t help but continually think of its ease of use when it comes to describing the product’s vaping experience as a whole. Bar any opening acts of daftness (read the instructions) when assembling the device’s two parts, it has to be said that vaping the Lost Mary Tappo is a breeze.
Once its pod is empty, simply swap it for a new one, no fancy coil changes needed. Vaping is made easy here, and so is maintenance.
Who should get the Lost Mary Tappo?
The Lost Mary Tappo is perfect for beginner level vapers who want to move on from their disposables without sacrificing the cheap price. Retailing at £8.99, it’s an easy to use gadget that simply requires a prefilled pod and a USB cable.
The device is only £4 extra than the BM600 disposable, which would have to be replaced by another model after use. With the Tappo device, only refill pods are needed, which are available at £5.99 for two. It’s a no brainer for vapers looking to switch from disposables.
It has no fuss or frills, and it’s extremely low maintenance while retaining a high standard of MTL vaping.
Perfect for on the go, the Lost Mary Tappo is most definitely a stylish step up from a BM600 disposable, yet encapsulates what makes quick, disposable vaping so enticing.
Lost Mary Tappo Accessibility
This device is very accessible to older smokers who have quit tobacco in favour of electronic cigarettes. Its interface is one of ease and convenience rather than technology. There are no small buttons, no filling ports, and the device works simply on inhalation activation.
Again, make sure to read the instruction manual when buying the kit for the first time, as pushing the base of the pod in first is a vital instruction even professional vapers have had to figure out when it comes to the Lost Mary Tappo.
