SKE Crystal Bar Disposable Vape Review
The SKE Crystal Bar disposable vape premiered in the UK with its stunning device design and impeccable taste. With 28 different flavours in the range, there’s sure to be something to suit even the pickiest vapers’ palates, including everything from fizzy drinks to menthol to tobacco flavours—just to name a few.
So, I was delighted to hear that I’d get to review the vape and 5 of its flavours in the range, as I was very curious how the mesh coil would affect the flavour. Generally speaking, mesh coils allow for denser flavour production because they have a netted surface (as opposed to a single spiral-shaped wire). The extra surface area on the coil allows for more vape juice to be vaporised at once, creating more flavour and vapour on the inhale.
Until now, there have been few disposables in the UK scene with mesh coils (the only other one I can think of off the top of my head being the Allo Plus disposable vape), and it’s something many companies have experimented with.
The only real downside to mesh coils in a disposable vape is that they tend to consume more E-Liquid (due to the extra vapour production), so you’ll end up getting fewer puffs out of the device overall. This was one of the facets I wanted to test when reviewing these vapes—read on for my surprising findings!
What is the SKE Crystal Bar disposable?
If you’ve ever used a disposable vape, chances are you’re familiar with their whole grab-and-go philosophy: no refills, no charging, just vape and enjoy. These devices are ready to use straight out of the packaging—simply unbox, remove the rubber stopper from the mouthpiece and the safety sticker on the bottom, and you’re good to go.
Disposable vapes are designed to be vaped until they’re empty, signified by the flashing LED indicator light. At which point, simply dispose of the entire device in accordance with your local authority’s guidelines.
The device comes pre-filled with 2ml of 20mg (2%) strength nic salt juice, which is formulated to provide an ultra-smooth throat hit and a quicker nicotine delivery at higher strengths compared to traditional “freebase” nicotine-containing E-Liquids. The SKE Crystal Bar disposable also comes with a pre-charged battery delivering up to 600 puffs per bar.
Plus, the aforementioned mesh coil delivers extra flavour in each puff.
SKE Crystal Bar Device Review
When I first saw the render photos of the device online (before seeing it in person), I thought the SKE Crystal Bar was going to look cheap—but I was very wrong. At first glance, the device has a stunning shape and feel, and the colours are really something. It looks expensive and well-made, and it feels that way, too!
A round tube holding the contents of the vape is wrapped in a metallic gradient-coloured foil material, which is further encased in a clear plastic mould. The mould itself is squared, extending upward to form the comfortable duckbill mouthpiece. At the bottom, a silver plastic plate is fitted over the airflow hole, which also contains the LED light. You’ll find the name of the device and its flavour and nicotine strength along the front of the device in black lettering.
Overall, the SKE Crystal Bar looks really ritzy and stunning in person—far from what I was expecting after having seen them online!
As far as its functionality, I can’t really slight the SKE Crystal Bar at all. You can most definitely tell that the mesh coil is doing its job, as each puff delivers consistently intense flavour with larger-than-usual clouds of vapour. The airflow is just right (though this is personal opinion), and the draw is simply perfect.
I was expecting the puff count on the SKE Crystal Bar to be considerably less compared to other 600 puff disposables, given the nature of the mesh coils used.
However, I got about 23 hours of use out of it, whereas with standard disposables, I usually get just over a day’s worth of use (roughly 28 hours).
So, as much as I was expecting the SKE Crystal Bar to provide significantly less “run time,” the difference was marginal at best—perhaps a few hours less than I’d get out of an Elf Bar disposable, which is negligible when you consider the flavour production from the mesh coils.
My favourite visual part of the device is that while vaping, the LED indicator light glows, shining through the clear plastic mould and illuminating the reflective foil inside the device and reaching upward toward the mouthpiece.
If you’re vaping in low light, this has a really cool visual effect. I tried to capture this in a photo, but if you really want to see what I’m talking about, you’ll have to try it out for yourself!
I have absolutely zero qualms or quibbles with this device, and the first flavour I tried was downright sublime.
SKE Crystal Bar Best Disposable Flavours
I’m going to list these from my favourite to least favourite. I selected 5 flavours from the SKE Crystal Bar disposable range to try, and while these may not be considered the most popular flavours, I wanted to cover a variety of different profiles to get a better idea of the range overall.
1. Banana Ice Disposable Vape by SKE Crystal Bar

Enjoy the rich, creamy taste of ripe banana layered with sweet notes throughout and an icy finish for a delicious tropical vape!
I’m a sucker for banana ice flavours—and I realised, upon the first puff of this disposable, that this is most definitely the best one I’ve ever tasted.
Ever. Hands down.
Compared to other banana flavours, this one is deeper, richer, and sweeter, and the creaminess lingers in the aftertaste. It’s almost like a dessert flavour, close to the taste of an icy, sweet banana-flavoured custard—but the ice gives it a balance and lightness that offsets the heaviness of the flavour.
This flavour is perfectly balanced to a T—and I’m 100% certain I’ll be buying this one again and again (and again).
I’ve truly never tasted a better banana flavour!
2. Fresh Menthol Mojito Disposable Vape by SKE Crystal Bar

Flavour: Menthol, Lime, Mojito
A glass of your favourite cocktail is served up ice cold in this delicious vape: a freshly shaken mojito is layered with zesty lime and fresh mint for a blissfully refreshing summer vape you’ll love—even when the mint is out of season!
This disposable delivers a really authentic flavour, though my only criticism would be that it could use just a touch more lime.
Overall, fans of menthol flavours will really love this vape.
It’s incredibly flavoursome, with intense bursts of mint and sweetness on the inhale followed by a more subtle icy-tasting exhale.
It really does taste like a mojito, with that fresh minty flavour and invigorating aftertaste.
3. Lemon Peach Passion Fruit Disposable Vape by SKE Crystal Bar

Flavour: Lemon, Peach, Passion Fruit, Ice
This flavour is a juicy, dewy medley of zesty lemon, ripe peaches, and sweet passion fruit, with a moderate burst of ice on the exhale to help it all wash down smoothly.
Overall, I really love this flavour. The ice is perfectly balanced with the rest of the flavourings; it hits the front of your tongue on the inhale, then the back of your mouth on the exhale. It lingers alongside the lemony peach flavour on the aftertaste, which leaves your mouth feeling really refreshed.
The lemon is a beautifully zingy addition to the flavour palette, which contrasts the richness of the other two fruit flavours to create something wholly unique to the SKE Crystal Bar range.
The only (very minor) qualm I have with this flavour is that the passion fruit is somewhat synthetic-tasting, but only for a brief moment at the beginning of the inhale. Again, this is a very minor quibble—because overall, I really adore this flavour, and I’m sure I’ll be buying it again.
4. Honey Melon Disposable Vape by SKE Crystal Bar

Flavour: Honeydew Melon, Ice
This disposable delivers the fresh, juicy taste of honeydew melon with a gentle cooling ice throughout for a dewy and moreish all-day fruit flavour!
I’m very used to the high ice level in the Elf Bar disposables range, so the first puff of this vape was like a breath of fresh air. The ice level is soft, not overpowering, allowing the juicy sweetness of the melon flavour to really shine through.
The honeydew is very juicy-tasting and pronounced, with a hint of another melon flavour—perhaps cantaloupe—which creates a really tasty, not too sweet fruit flavour overall. As much as I love BoJack Horseman, he got one thing wrong—honeydew is a great fruit!
This may only be the second flavour I’ve tried so far, but I can already tell that this is one I’ll be buying again. If you love balanced, fruity vapes (like I do), you’ll love this flavour!
5. Mango Ice Disposable Vape by SKE Crystal Bar

Flavour: Mango, Ice
Mango is most definitely my favourite flavour profile, though it can so easily go wrong. For instance, I find the taste of the Mango Elf Bar to be rather cloying—while on the other hand, the budget V4 Vapour range has a Mango Ice nic salt that I vape every day. You could say I’m pretty critical of mango flavours.
The SKE Crystal Bar version of this flavour is definitely better than the Elf Bar, in my opinion, though it’s not my favourite one thus far.
The mango flavour is very fresh and juicy, with the perfect amount of sweetness. The ice makes for a lovely complement to the fruity taste, too.
However, I did find the flavour on the exhale to be a bit chemical-tasting and synthetic. The synthetic taste lingers on the exhale, which could’ve been offset by a stronger concentration of ice.
Of course, I’m nitpicking. I do believe that fans of mango disposables will enjoy this one—though I’m personally more partial to some of the other flavours I sampled.
Summary
I don’t know exactly what I was expecting from the SKE Crystal Bar after seeing so many new disposable vapes enter the market as of late—but nonetheless, I was pleasantly surprised at how excellent the flavours were.
Plus, as much as I anticipated that the mesh coils would consume more E-Liquid, leading to a lesser puff count, the difference in puff counts between the SKE Crystal Bar and other disposables is really negligible when you consider the device’s incredible flavour production.
This is most definitely not the last I’ll be seeing of the SKE Crystal Bar. I’ll be working my way through the rest of the range to discover more flavours I didn’t know could be topped, like the Banana Ice disposable, which is now my new favourite flavour!
