Pod Salt sent over their ever-popular Nexus range for us to review. Let’s take a closer look at the top 10 flavours!
Nexus E-Liquids were created by the mixologists at Pod Salt with luxury and uniqueness in mind above all else. Nexus sets out to combine unlikely E-Liquid flavours in an array of deliciously complex tropical flavour blends, with plenty of fruit, ice, and sweet flavours to go around.
And while I’ve been on a bit of a disposable vape E-Liquids kick lately, the authentic freshness of these vape juices really hits the spot.
Recently, Pod Salt renamed some of the E-Liquids in this range to ensure their flavours came across more clearly—the Coco Sun flavour, for example, was renamed Sweet Tangerine Coconut. So if you recognize these flavours but not the names, you may have seen them before!
Like other nic salts, these E-Liquids contain a special nicotine formulation to ensure a smooth, satisfying throat hit and a quicker nicotine delivery compared to “freebase” nicotine-containing E-Liquids. The juices are available in 5mg, 10mg, and 20mg nicotine strengths, offering a variety for vapers (like me) who vape less than the standard 20mg.
And for sub-ohm vapers, all of these flavours are available in 100ml shortfills for use in your sub-ohm vape kit!
There’s something for every vaper’s palate in the Nexus Pod Salt range, so let’s get into my top 10 favourites!
Top 10 Best Pod Salt Nexus Flavours
Pod Salt sent over all 20 flavours for us to review; they sent the first 10 flavours in March 2023, and when they released 10 more in May 2023, they sent us those, too! You’ll notice that the pictures have different backgrounds—this is because of the gap between the first and the second lot.
I tested all of the E-Liquids in the OXVA Xlim Pro using the 0.6Ω (ohm) OXVA Xlim V2 pods. OXVA pods are my favourite for nic salts, since they deliver tons of flavour and last much longer than other pods with built-in coils I’ve used in the past (about 2 weeks per pod).
As you can see from my ratings, all of these juices were really something—no duds here! I could easily vape any of these flavours all day long. There are a lot of 5 star ratings here. Not a single bottle went unfinished.
Without further preamble, let’s get into my impressions!
1. Sour Blue Raspberry Nic Salt E-Liquid by Nexus Pod Salt

Flavour: Blue Raspberry, Sour, Ice
Usually, when I do a review like this, I vape the juice just long enough to form an opinion and take notes—but when I tried this one, I vaped the whole bottle from start to finish! I couldn’t help myself.
Vapers who love a strong, sweet, undeniably berry-licious flavour will absolutely adore this E-Liquid.
It’s more intense than the other flavours in the Nexus range, offering a sweet and sour blast in every puff with a perfect icy kick on the exhale to balance out the richness of the flavours.
The juice has a sort of rich sweetness in the undertones, almost like a subtle bubble gum flavour, which is really welcome alongside the sour qualities of the vape.
I could easily vape this juice every day, and I know I’ll be buying it again. I can’t recommend Sour Blue Raspberry enough!
2. Orange Mango Lime Nic Salt E-Liquid by Nexus Pod Salt

Flavour: Orange, Mango, Lime, Ice
Those who regularly read my reviews (if there are any such people) will know that citrus vapes are usually at the bottom of my list, as I find citrus to be too warm and sharp for my liking most of the time.
So, the Orange Mango Lime is probably my most unlikely favourite of all time!
In fact, when I ran out of my favourite disposable E-Liquid over the weekend, I ended up vaping half of the bottle in about a day and a half. It’s so smooth and satisfying!
I think my issue with citrus is that it's often unbalanced: too sharp, not sweet enough, or not icy enough to balance out the zing. This flavour didn't have any of these issues. It's simply superb. It's also just a really unique flavour combination.
I really cannot recommend this one enough!
3. Blue Razz Cherry Blast Nic Salt E-Liquid by Nexus Pod Salt

Flavour: Blue Raspberry, Cherry, Ice
Another flavour I could easily vape for days on end, the Blue Razz Cherry Blast juice from the new Nexus range is nice and sweet, but not too sickly.
A bold cherry flavour underscored by rich blue raspberries with a perfect icy finish, this juice delivers exactly what it promises and then some!
If it was just a smidge sweeter, I could easily see this in a popular disposable vape—but to me, the sweetness level is absolutely perfect.
You can taste each individual flavour in the juice, perfectly balanced and each with its own place in the spotlight.
Bravo, Nexus. I have absolutely no notes on this flavour.
4. Pineapple Passion Lime Nic Salt E-Liquid by Nexus Pod Salt

Flavour: Pineapple, Passion Fruit, Lime
I was sitting at my desk when I tried this flavour for the first time. My initial reaction was to exclaim, “damn!” It’s really, really something. And truth be told, I haven’t reacted this positively to an ice-free vape flavour in a long time.
This sweet, rich tropical flavour is perfectly balanced. While I often find pineapple flavours to be cloying, this one was luscious, sweet, and so authentic. The passion fruit adds an ultra-juicy layer to the flavour, and when you finish it off with a burst of zesty lime…mmm.
This flavour does well without ice thanks to that citrusy lime kick, which is really well-balanced and not too overwhelming.
Overall, if you’re a fan of ice-free nic salts and delicious tropical medleys, you should most definitely try this flavour from the Nexus range.
5. White Gummy Bear Nic Salt E-Liquid by Nexus Pod Salt

Flavour: Pineapple, Gummy Bear, Ice
Another flavour profile I’m not very keen on is this “gummy candy” craze that’s been sweeping the vape world. I tend to dislike heavily artificial-tasting flavours, but my god, this one was so so good!
The gummy taste comes through after the first few puffs, layering over itself with that sweet, unmistakable taste of childhood.
And while it’s not super heavy on the pineapple flavour, I don’t mind that at all, as I think more pineapple would make the flavour incredibly cloying. Nexus struck the perfect balance with this one.
Rich and candy-like, this flavour is incredibly easy to vape, and I found myself gravitating towards it throughout the entire review process. If you love candy vapes, you absolutely MUST try this one!
6. Sweet Strawberry Lemonade Nic Salt E-Liquid by Nexus Pod Salt

Flavour: Strawberry, Lemonade, Ice
I tend to detest strawberry flavours—even in my favourite E-Liquid ranges—because they all taste too artificial and sickly to me. That wasn’t the case with this juice, and I can’t believe I’m saying that!
The dominant flavour in this E-Liquid is a ripe, fresh, very real-tasting strawberry, which is super light and pleasant, making it perfect for summertime.
The lemonade undertones are very subtle, lending an acidic base which gives the flavour a light zesty kick. And the strong icy exhale is simply the perfect complement to the overall flavour profile.
The juice wasn’t as sweet as I was expecting, but I wouldn’t want it any sweeter. And while I did at one point wish the flavouring was more concentrated, I think that would risk it becoming more like those sickly strawberry flavours I’ve come to loathe. So I think Nexus absolutely nailed it with this one!
7. Mango Strawberry Peach Nic Salt E-Liquid by Nexus Pod Salt

Flavour: Mango, Strawberry, Peach, Ice
Another flavour I could easily vape all day long, this one is a blissful tropical medley with a really complex and juicy flavour profile. There’s a touch of ice on the exhale that I wasn’t expecting but loved nonetheless.
Fresh and light, this blend has the slightest artificial hint to it (which gives it a slightly candied flavour), which I believe comes from the peach. Still, the added sweetness was a bonus to me.
The lightness of the authentic mango and juicy peach flavours are balanced by the sweet richness of the strawberry, which makes for a more full-bodied fruit flavour, though I do wish the mango and peach flavours were just a touch stronger.
Overall, I think the fruits are mixed really well—and that touch of ice on the exhale helps it all wash down smoothly.
If you’re into really juicy-tasting nic salts, you should pick up a bottle of Mango Strawberry Peach from the Nexus range. You won’t regret it!
8. Fuji Apple Peach Nic Salt E-Liquid by Nexus Pod Salt

Flavour: Apple, Peach
Sweet and authentic from the very first puff, this tasty fruit flavour is practically dripping with juicy goodness. This is another flavour that doesn’t contain ice, but for the first time in this review, I wish it did; adding some ice would make this a 5-star flavour, for sure.
Still, there are plenty of vapers out there who absolutely abhor ice—so, this one’s for you!
I’m usually very critical of peach flavourings, as I often find them to be quite chemical-tasting and artificial—but this juice has perhaps my favourite peach flavouring ever. It’s sweet, juicy, and tastes so real, like actual peach juice.
Plus, the apple is incredibly crisp, light, and delicate, which is a perfect contrast to the rich juiciness of the peach.
Overall, I really recommend this flavour to vapers looking for a fruity non-ice fusion. It really doesn’t get more real-tasting than this!
9. Fresh Raspberry Mojito Nic Salt E-Liquid by Nexus Pod Salt

Flavour: Raspberry, Lime, Mint
I was really excited to try this flavour. I don’t tend to like mint vapes on their own, so when I read that this flavour would have raspberry as well, I was super stoked.
Fresh and vibrant, this flavour delivers cool, light minty undertones on the exhale for a really refreshing cocktail-themed vape.
And while the raspberry flavouring isn’t super strong, it adds a nice layer of richness to the inhale that really fills out the flavour.
This juice is extremely refreshing to vape, and if you love a good menthol flavour, I fully recommend it.
This is one of a few in the range where I wished there was a bit more flavouring overall. If it was just a bit more concentrated, this would easily be a 5-star juice for me.
10. Strawberry Watermelon Kiwi Nic Salt E-Liquid by Nexus Pod Salt

Flavour: Strawberry, Watermelon, Kiwi, Ice
In this juice, you get a classic fruit combo with strawberry and kiwi, overlaid with a generous helping of watermelon flavouring and a touch of cool, refreshing ice on the exhale.
Watermelon is the predominant flavour in this mixture, which is very authentic-tasting and refreshing compared to the various candied watermelon disposable vapes I’ve tried. The strawberry lends a really sweet and rich quality to balance out the lightness of the other flavours.
The kiwi gives a nice, light zing on the exhale alongside the gentle icy notes, which makes for a really refreshing exhale.
All in all, I do wish this flavour was stronger or more intense, which is why I gave it only 4.5 stars. Perhaps I’m just too used to the super-intense disposable vape E-Liquids right now—but for me, I’d like to see a little more punch to this flavour.

A massive thanks to the brilliant folks over at Pod Salt for sending us the Nexus range to review—I really enjoyed my vacation away from the usual E-Liquid profiles and trying these eclectic and unique flavour blends. After all, a girl can only take so much pink lemonade and cherry sherbet vape juice before it all starts to taste the same!
While these liquids aren’t super sweet compared to the ones I usually vape, I did notice that my coils degraded a bit quicker with the Nexus liquids. My pods usually last at least a week—but each coil went bad in about 3 days. This is definitely something for Pod Salt to look into in future iterations of the Nexus range—perhaps a change in sweetener is in order?

All in all, I really loved vaping this range, and I highly recommend these nic salts to anyone looking for a tropical flavour outside of the usual fruit combos.
