Aspire Flexus Stik Review: #1 for Great Flavour!
The next iteration in Aspire’s Flexus range, the Aspire Flexus Stik Pod Kit is a pen-style pod kit with a lot of great features, from the tapered drip tip to the massive 1200mAh battery. Let’s take a closer look at the device and review its specs!
Note: This product has been discontinued. We have a large collection of current vape kits available.
Aspire has been coming out with some true winners lately, particularly in the Flexus range. First was the Flexus Q, then the Flexus Blok—and now, we’ve got the Flexus Stik. This wondrous little pen kit boasts a whopping 1200mAh battery, adjustable airflow, MTL & RDTL compatibility, and USB Type-C charging.
Plus, the device is compatible with Aspire Flexus Coils, which are a real treat. The mesh-build coils provide a dense, flavourful mouthful while producing a discreet amount of vapour for MTL & RDTL vaping.
Let’s get into the Flexus Stik and dissect its specs!

Design & Appearance
The Flexus Stik has a cylindrical shape, with a tapered drip tip at the top (which can be removed for easy cleaning). I received the Black finish, which is simple and sleek. Overall, the Stik is very pocket-friendly and portable, weighing only 57g fully assembled.
I do wish there was a little more grip to the device, as the finish makes it slightly slippery in the hand. This is just a personal preference, of course. The finish does, however, attract fingerprints, so if that’s a deal-breaker for you, you may want to look elsewhere!
The device features adjustable airflow via the pod, which can be rotated in place to deliver a range of different tightnesses to ensure every vaper can find their perfect draw. Switching between MTL and RDTL is as easy as twisting the pod. This is one of the best features of the device, for sure.
The USB Type-C charging port is located below the Flexus Stik logo. The positioning is conducive to charging while the device is upright, which is a nice way of keeping the coils from flooding, spitting, or becoming leaky. However, the device isn’t exactly bottom-heavy, so it’s not the easiest kit to keep standing up.
The LED indicator light ring is located at the bottom of the device, and it’s very bright and visible, which is a definite pro. The light indicates the battery level to the user—red for <30% battery, blue for 30%-60%, and green for 60%-100% capacity. The light also signals to the user when the power output is changed (more on this later).
The most puzzling part of the Flexus Stik’s design is the placement of the button: on the bottom of the device. The button itself is sturdy and strong, but I’m confused as to why Aspire has put the button in the one place a pod kit vaper can’t comfortably reach while vaping—as if they were designing a mechanical mod. Aspire has said that the placement of the button is designed to help negate accidental pocket-firing, but it also feels like a step toward getting the user to use the auto-draw moreso than the fire button.
Still, many vapers prefer the tactile feeling of pressing the fire button. Because of its placement, the button is really only functional for changing settings and powering the device on and off. I consider this a con for the device.
Interface & Features
The Flexus Stik has a very minimal interface, with only a flashing LED indicator light and a single button for operation. This makes changing settings a breeze.
To switch between power outputs, simply press the button three times in quick succession. The light will flash either green (high), blue (medium), or red (low). For more information on operating the device, you should consult the user manual that comes with the kit.
Overall, the device is very easy to use thanks to its single-button operation. Plus, the Flexus Stik offers automatic inhale activation, meaning you don’t have to worry about that bottom button while firing—simply inhale on the mouthpiece to vape.
The auto-draw on this device is pretty flawless; it’s not overly sensitive or prone to misfiring, but it works every time. With the airflow all the way open, the auto-draw fires in under half a second, allowing the coil to preheat before it starts to fire. My concerns about the button placement would be far more severe if not for the excellent auto-draw activation.
Battery Life & Performance
The Flexus Stik boasts a massive 1200mAh battery, which should last most vapers at least 2 full days with standard use. It’s rechargeable via USB-C, and a cable is included with the kit.
I’m a constant vaper—meaning I tend to vape frequently throughout the day—and the battery lasted me almost two full days. A vaper who uses the device infrequently might find that they go several days before having to recharge the device. This is a huge bonus!
The only real downside to the battery on this device is that it has 1A charging, as opposed to the 2A charging found in most pod kits nowadays. The result is that the Flexus Stik charges more slowly than other pod kits, and because the battery is so large, charging can take about an hour and a half—give or take. Overall, the 1A charging doesn’t take too much away from the device, but I don’t fully understand the choice on Aspire’s part.
Performance-wise, this vape doesn’t disappoint. It delivers consistently delicious flavour and excellent MTL/RDTL clouds depending on your airflow setting, and the vapour is very satisfying. I can’t slight the performance of the vape at all.
Pod & Coils
The pod for the Flexus Stik is fitted into the device with a strong magnetic connection—and when I say strong, I mean strong. It seems that Aspire learned from the missteps of their previous models (namely, the pod connection with the Flexus Q), and have responded and adapted this device accordingly.
The pod features a tapered drip tip, which can be removed for easy cleaning, plus a bottom-adjustable airflow port. To change your airflow settings, simply rotate the pod in place for a looser or tighter draw.
It also features an easy-access bottom-fill port for simpler refills. The fill port is held closed with a silicone stopper—a design which many vapers have criticised in other models, as it tends to lead to more leakage. While the Flexus Stik has its occasional leaks from the fill port, this is easily remedied with a simple dry cotton bud (plus, minor leaking is to be expected from all pod kits).
The pods are compatible with the press-fit Aspire Flexus Coils, which have a mesh build for denser flavour while still maintaining discreet cloud production suitable for an MTL/RDTL vape experience. The coils are available in two resistances, and one of each comes with the Flexus Stik: 0.6Ω (ohm) and 1.0Ω (ohm). The coils are sold in packs of 5, and from my experience, they’ll last you about 2 weeks with standard use.

Generally speaking, both coils provide a generous mouthful of flavour. Aspire did really well with these coils. The differences between the two resistances are hardly noticeable, but generally speaking, the 0.6Ω coil provides a slightly thicker cloud production, while the 1.0Ω coil creates slightly less vapour. The flavour is comparable in both coils.
Because of the resistance of these coils, you should only be pairing them with high-PG E-Liquids, like Nic Salts or 50/50 E-Liquids. The Flexus Stik isn’t suited to high-VG juices, as these will inevitably cause leaking and burnt hits.
Who should get the Aspire Flexus Stik?
Anyone looking for a good starter vape kit will love the Flexus Stik—particularly if you’re hoping to transition to a vape kit that uses changeable coils. This is an excellent middle-ground between disposables and a sub-ohm kit for those who enjoy the RDTL vaping style.
Overall, I’d recommend this kit to those who’ve tried pod kits and want something a little more customisable, but don’t want to perform a lot of maintenance. Thanks to the coils’ press-fit system, they’re very easy to change and shouldn’t require a lot of know-how. Upkeep for the device is minimal and not obtrusive, so a vaper with any type of skill level could pretty easily use this kit.

Conclusion
The Flexus Stik isn’t revolutionary, by any means, and there are a few improvements I’d make to the device. Generally speaking, though, the coils produce an excellent flavour, and the pod is definitely an improvement in the Flexus range. It’s a great starter kit for those looking to transition to a kit with slightly more maintenance than a pod kit with integrated coils, too.
