OXVA Oneo Overview
No menus or buttons—just smooth, easy vaping. That’s the Oneo’s mission. A customisable RGB light strip guides you as you vape, and the device’s auto-coil detection system ensures your wattage is always set to the optimal level. Set-up is as easy as popping in a filled pod.
I’d heard great things about this vape prior to trying it myself—namely, that the battery capacity is excellent and the flavour is outstanding. I couldn’t wait to judge for myself.
I have a few very minor niggling cons with this device, but overall, I was super impressed.
I don’t want to spoil anything just yet, so read on for my impressions of the OXVA Oneo!
Design & Appearance
The OXVA Oneo is designed with a sleek, minimal, and rounded aluminium alloy body, with one of the most ergonomic and comfortable grips I’ve felt in a while. The device is sort of egg-shaped if you look at it from the top, so one edge is thinner than the other. It honestly feels like a cloud in the palm of your hand.
The Sky Blue finish I received is absolutely lovely, with a slightly lighter cap to add to the colour scheme. I believe the Phantom Pink colour is also duo-toned, while the rest are all one colour.
The Oneo features a magnetic cap on top which shields the pod from view. The magnets on the cap are super strong and sturdy and won’t budge unless you want them to (or if, like me, you drop it on a hardwood floor). The magnetic cap features an E-Liquid sight window to help you keep an eye on your E-Liquids.
On the fatter side of the device, you’ll find the adjustable airflow switch, and on the thinner side, you’ll find the RGB lighting strip with “ONEO” printed at the bottom.
The OXVA logo is printed on the front of the device, and on the bottom, you’ll find the USB type-C port.
Overall, I’m super impressed with the build quality of this device, given the sturdiness of the metal and how nice it feels in my hand. It reminds me of a Zippo lighter with the magnetic cap.
E-Liquid Sight Window
One of my very few, very small cons for the Oneo is that the E-Liquid sight window is not really functional.
The placement of the coil inside the pod lines up perfectly with the window, which means that no light can enter the pod. With no light, it’s really hard to see your E-Liquid level.
I almost always have to take the cap off to see the actual E-Liquid level, though I can sometimes see it if the pod is particularly full—which really isn’t very helpful.
This is one of very few cons I have for the device.

Interface & Features
The OXVA Oneo has a very minimal interface—practically no interface, in fact. The vape is inhale activated, meaning you only need to inhale on the mouthpiece to vape, and there are no buttons or wattage settings to fiddle with.
The firing is flawless if you have the airflow set correctly. I handed the vape to my husband to try—he’s an RDL vaper—and the airflow was set too wide for him, so the vape wouldn’t fire. For this reason, you’ll need to ensure you’ve got the airflow set correctly.
The only other adjustable part of the interface is the RGB lighting. The RGB lighting will indicate the current battery level, like so:
- Green: 75% – 100%
- Blue: 50% – 75%
- Yellow: 25% – 50%
- Red: 0% – 25%
RGB Lighting
The “customisable” RGB lighting allows you to alter the lighting strip effect. You can swap between an oscillating rainbow, which will end on the colour indicating your battery level, single-colour progressive strip lighting, and a single-colour glow effect.
The lighting can’t be turned off, and the single-colour function will always display the colour that indicates your current battery level.
This is all very nice, but my main issue with the lighting being customisable is that to swap between these effects, you have to take 3 puffs in under 1.5 seconds. For a vaper using a 20mg nic salt, that’s enough for a head rush.
Even just oscillating through the settings to confirm as I write this was enough to make me feel a little gross.
With that being said, the RGB lighting is a nice touch. I just feel like making it customisable isn’t much of a selling point, and the mechanism for doing so is a bit convoluted.
Adjustable Airflow
Because the OXVA Oneo supports both MTL and DTL vaping, the airflow options are vast. You can go from a tight disposable-style draw all the way to an open sub-ohm vape with the swipe of your finger. I will say that the open airflow may not be wide enough for the greediest sub-ohm vapers, but that’s a pretty niche subset of people.
Because of how much variety there is in the airflow, I found it a little difficult to find my preferred airflow at first when using the MTL pod. I was grateful to have nails when adjusting the switch, as it might be harder to fine-tune the airflow with just the pad of your thumb.
Importantly, because this is an inhale-activated vape, you have to rely on the force of your inhale to trigger the draw activation. This means that if your airflow is too loose, the vape may not fire when you inhale.
I usually like my MTL vapes just slightly looser than a standard MTL draw. As I mentioned, I handed the vape to my husband to try, having opened the airflow just a couple of millimetres wider for him knowing he prefers a looser RDL draw. It took 3 tries for him to find the airflow he liked, all with the most minute incremental changes.
I had a similar experience.
The adjustable airflow switch is thankfully very sturdy and doesn’t move unless you try to move it, which is great for when you want to slip it in your pocket. You don’t have to worry about your precise airflow setting being messed up in transit.
Overall, while the airflow is a bit fiddly to get right, once it’s set, it’ll stay that way.

Battery Life & Performance
This was the OXVA Oneo’s biggest selling point for me: a 1600mAh built-in battery with USB-C fast charging. If you’re using the lower-resistance MTL pod, that battery capacity will last you a long time—at least 2 days of use. With the 0.4Ω DTL pod, you’ll get about a day out of the battery.
I was really impressed with the battery capacity in the OXVA Oneo. When I first started using it, I started with the MTL pod, which uses less battery per puff compared to the DTL pod. As a very frequent vaper, I found that the battery with the MTL pod lasted me a full day (and a few hours extra), which is huge for me.
I’m lucky if my battery lasts half a day given how much I vape.
With the DTL pod, the battery drained faster, as expected. I didn’t notice as big of a battery drain as I anticipated, though if you’re using the vape for DTL, you should adjust your expectations accordingly. There’s a reason that sub-ohm vapes have such big batteries, after all.
Charging was quicker than I expected as well, taking less than an hour from red to reach a full charge.
As for performance, I really can’t slight the OXVA Oneo. My experience was really seamless from start to finish once I got my airflow right. The airflow setting is the key to getting the auto-draw activation to work seamlessly.

OXVA Oneo Pods
The OXVA Oneo comes with two pods included, each with a built-in mesh coil designed to create more flavour and vapour per puff compared to a standard wire coil.
The built-in coils ensure no messy coil changes—instead, once your pod starts to taste burnt or begins losing its flavour, simply discard the entire pod and replace it with a new one. OXVA Oneo replacement pods are available in packs of 3 for just £9.99.
The two pods included with the kit are 0.8Ω (ohm) for MTL and 0.4Ω (ohm) for DTL vaping. There is also a 0.6Ω pod option (for MTL & RDTL) that you can purchase separately. I do wish I got to try the 0.6Ω pod, but I’m just being greedy.
As a general note, I love the fill ports on these pods. The silicone plug is nice and wide, easy to get a grip on, and very sturdy. I know some people have had trouble accessing the fill ports on some of OXVA’s other pods (namely the Xlim V3 pods), but that’s not an issue here.
In addition, I believe (not confirmed) that the coils used inside the OXVA Oneo pods are the same as the ones used in the OXVA Xlim pods, which is awesome. I absolutely love the flavour from these coils, just like I do with the Xlim pods.
In addition, the pods are incredibly sturdy compared to some others that I’ve used. They’re just as durable as pods that use replaceable coils.
The pods could have different mouthpieces for MTL and DTL vaping, as I’ve seen with other versatile kits like the Vaporesso Luxe X, but this is me being nit-picky.
MTL Pod – 0.8Ω (ohm)
The 0.8Ω pod is excellent for MTL and RDTL vaping, offering a nice balance of cloud and flavour production.
I used a 20mg (2%) strength nic salt E-Liquid in this pod (a Lost Mary E-Liquid, in fact), and the flavour was absolutely incredible.
I have no notes on this pod.
DTL Pod – 0.4Ω (ohm)
I was curious to see what types of E-Liquid work best with the 0.4Ω pod and wanted to test its mettle against a shortfill E-Liquid. Some pod vapes struggle with shortfills, even when they’re advertised to handle them. I opted for a 70% VG and 30% PG shortfill, and the flavour was excellent.
With the airflow open wide, you can get a really nice, dense sub-ohm cloud from this vape. It was warm and flavoursome, and the coils held up really well with the shortfill. No weird taste or dry hits at all.
As I mentioned with regard to the airflow, the widest your draw can be is somewhat restricted compared to an actual sub-ohm tank, but I really didn’t mind. I think the size of the mouthpiece also contributes to this, so having a less narrow drip tip on the pod would probably open it up a bit more.
But honestly, the flavour was sublime and the clouds were excellent, so no complaints from me.

Vaping the OXVA Oneo Pod Kit
Vaping the OXVA Oneo pod kit is a breeze. SImply pop in your field and primed pod, add the snap-on magnetic cap, tweak your airflow to suit your draw, and voilà! It’s as simple as that.
As is always the case with OXVA vape kits, the flavour is outstanding. I find myself using the 0.8Ω pod most of the time and swapping to the 0.4Ω DTL pod when I want to just enjoy the flavour without any nicotine.
This vape is really excellent no matter what kind of vaper you are: MTL, RDTL, and DTL vapers will all find that this device delivers exactly what you need is a compact and user-friendly device.
Who should get the OXVA Oneo?
The OXVA Oneo is an ideal kit for just about anyone, from complete beginners to seasoned vapers. It can take any E-Liquid (except 100% VG, which I haven’t tested in this kit) if you have the right pods, and there are enough pod and airflow options to ensure every vaping style is covered.
The only people I really wouldn’t recommend this vape to would be the greedy cloud-chasing sub-ohm crowd. Since this vape only gives up to 40W of power (impressive for its size, though sub-ohm vapes can offer up to 200W of power depending on the model), and since the lowest resistance available is 0.4Ω, diehard sub-ohm vapers may find the power and cloud production a little disappointing compared to what they’re used to.
However, if you’re a standard sub-ohm or DTL vaper, I think you’ll really enjoy this vape for what it is: simple, seamless vaping. It’s small but mighty, ideal for those seeking something low-maintenance and unobtrusive.
OXVA Oneo Accessibility
I always try to touch on the accessibility of a given vape kit when I do reviews, given the number of people switching to vaping who have accessibility requirements. We’re also seeing a big uptick in older vapers quitting smoking—including many people over 60—who may have vision or dexterity issues that make vaping harder to access.
The OXVA Oneo pod kit is honestly one of the more accessible vapes I’ve used. Since there are no buttons or menus, it’s perfect for your technophobic uncle who can’t figure out how to turn his phone on. It’s also essentially impossible to use incorrectly thanks to the auto-coil detection mechanism and the fixed wattage output.
The pods are large and easy to see through when refilling, and the fill port is more accessible than many others I’ve seen. The silicone tab is wide and easy to grab onto, though as always, vapers with dexterity issues may have trouble filling the pods using small E-Liquid bottles. This is more of an E-Liquid legislation issue rather than an issue with the device, though.
The only part that may be inaccessible for some vapers would be the airflow adjustment switch, which is very small and requires very minute fine-tuning to get the setting just right. Vapers with vision or dexterity issues may need help setting their airflow.

Conclusion: One Oneo For All!
Another OXVA vape kit absolutely smashes it, surpassing expectations. I was so thrilled to see OXVA come out with a high-capacity kit, and the Oneo really did not disappoint.
Once again, OXVA has nailed the assignment.
