Pod Kits

Pod Kits—also known as pod systems, vape pods, pod mods, and pod devices—are small, pocket-friendly, easy-to-use vapes. They're a great choice for smokers looking to make the switch to vaping, as well as current vapers looking for a lightweight on-the-go device. Pod kits use a plastic pod rather than a glass tank, which means less hassle and maintenance overall.

There are two main types of pod kits: pre-filled pod kits like the Elf Bar Mate 500 and the Elf Bar Elfa, as well as refillable pod kits, which can be filled with your choice of vape juice. Here at Vape Green, we stock pod systems from all the major brands, including VooPoo, Smok, Vaporesso, and Uwell's world-renowned Caliburn series. No matter what you're searching for, you're sure to find your perfect pod kit right here!

Pod kits are vapes that use a hard plastic pod rather than a traditional glass tank. Pod kit vapes can vary in size and range from small and easy-to-use beginner kits to larger, more advanced kits for experienced vapers.

There are two types of pod kits: refillable pods and closed pods.

Refillable pods let the user fill and refill the pod with their E-Liquid of choice. These pods are usually good for around 5+ refills before you'll need to replace the pod (or the coil inside the pod, depending on the model). Some refillable pods come with integrated coils—meaning that you'll never have to change the coil, just the pod. More advanced pod kits, like the Smok Nord, come with coils which require changing, but their pods are highly durable and shouldn't need to be replaced.

Closed pods, also known as pre-filled pods, are easy and convenient, as they never require any refills or coil changes. The only real maintenance needed for this type of device is battery charging. The pods come pre-filled with E-Liquid, and once the pod is empty, simply replace it with another one. Pre-filled pods are a great option for fans of disposables who want a more affordable and eco-friendly vape.

It'll be clearly noted in the product description whether your pod kit takes replacement coils or pods. Either way, you'll know your pod or coil needs changing once your E-Liquid starts to taste burnt.

At this point, if your pod kit uses replaceable coils, simply replace the coil inside the pod. And if your pod kit uses pods with built-in coils, you should instead replace the entire pod.

If you're buying a new pod kit and are unsure what type of replacement pod/coil your kit needs, please read the product description. If you already own a pod kit, we recommend referring to your manual.

Most basic pod kits are aimed towards beginners for usage with high PG E-Liquids, such as Nic Salts and 50/50 blends. More advanced sub-ohm pod kits are designed for usage with high VG E-Liquids like shortfills. The product description of each pod kit will have a list of which E-Liquids work best. If you're still unsure what type of E-Liquid to get for your specific kit, we suggest checking out our in-depth guide: Which E-Liquid Should I Buy? Your #1 Beginner’s Guide to the Best E-Liquids.
